黑社会老大阿关事业不错，家庭却一塌糊涂：儿子Sid是个摇滚叛逆青年，一心想继承老爸的事业；女儿Sina是宠物医生，和同事Michael谈恋爱，和老爸的生活格格不入。 Sid因为抢另外一个帮会老大老马的女人Carmen，不得不逃到台湾偏僻的山区避难，和他一起的还有阿关的得力助手阿照。 在台湾，Sid加入了禅鼓山人，改名阿道，认识了鼓队中的女孩红豆，在鼓队朴素的生活中获得了心灵的平静；阿照也在社区学校上课，找到了人生的目标。 在香港，因为Sid的出逃，阿关生意受到了影响，但也因此和女儿Sina和解，接受了她的生活和感情。 同时，禅鼓山人世界巡演开始，第一站就是香港。当Sid和父亲阿关渐渐互相了解，开始冰释前嫌，阿关却在监狱中被暗杀。 Sid简单的生活被打破，社团的生意、和老马的恩怨接踵而至，他如何面对这一切？。A dentist teams up with a feisty would-be assassin to put the final touches on the plan to kill his wife.
