22岁的大卫对未来感觉很迷惘，在漫无目的的周游中，他来到了中国，遇见了一个叫做梅的女孩。在随后与梅相处的过程中，大卫终于找到了生活的目标。。钱麟遂父亲心愿，带上门客亦卿和小厮春子，来到七灵峰找辛于学习剑法。亦卿与辛于因为投缘结为知音，岁月静好。子夜来到辛庄要挑战辛于，被辛于重伤，钱麟却对子夜一见如故，教他辛于的剑法。亦卿看出子夜身上戾气，劝阻钱麟，钱麟毫不在意。子夜却在剑术精进后杀了钱麟的师父辛于，两人积怨。辛于死后，子夜在江湖声名鹊起，并暗中送银子给钱麟。子夜与钱麟相遇，两人间隙更甚，亦卿见钱麟对自己疏离，也伤怀离开钱府……。SYNOPSIS Urgently called, the police inspector has arrived in a hotel, and didn't find any crime, but noticed some strangenesses occurring there. (Strugatsky Brothers website) NOTES This is a crime / mystery thriller with surreal and psychedelic science fiction overtones based on a book Inspector Glebsky's Puzzle by the Strugatsky brothers. The screenplay was also written by the brothers and it differs from the book. The less you know about the movie the better starting point you have. The film is based largely on the mystery of what's happening to the people of Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. Is everything what it seems? Who's dead or who's not?。
