A troupe of struggling stage actors is rehearsing for a small-town production of a play. Everything seems to be as it should until one of the cast members turns up dead. In a panic, the others try to get out, only to find they are now locked in the theater with the killer! Which one of them committed the murder, and who will get out alive?。彩木久留美（深田恭子饰）原是名普通女交警，正当她准备辞职和恋人伸吾（玉木宏饰）结婚时，却突然被调去刑警科搜查一课。 久留美被指派给刑警冰室光三郎（堂本光一饰）做副手，奇怪的是冰室警官始终呆在地下室里不肯出门，每次都是通过推理，以“遥控”的方式指导久留美抓住犯人。 久留美渐渐从旁处得知冰室警官的“自闭”真相：原来一年前，冰室的女友被绑架，他前往救人，却因在黑暗中开枪致使女友死亡，冰室的心理也因此蒙上了巨大的阴影。没想到这一次，相似的故事又发生在久留美的头上……。
