北平中学生袁文光喜欢京剧，常因看戏而不得不翻墙回校，终被校方开除。文光到一剧班学艺，又因反抗班里的封建行规被赶走。老伶工黄月楼将其收留，文光从此改名袁少楼。因为人好打不平，人送少楼外号“二百五”。少楼随班赴关外演出，与班里当家花旦柳艳云感情颇深。“九一八”事变后，东北某警察局长郑荣欲强娶艳云为妾。少楼恨其媚敌卖国，借演出之机对其进行讥讽。郑荣大怒，命宪警将少楼抓去。艳云向郑荣求情，被其乘机侮辱……。Set in Prague in 1953, this suspenseful crime drama follows honest police captain Hakl (Trojan) and his investigation of a seemingly mundane robbery at a goldsmith’s shop.
