一段人与鬼之间难以捉摸的友情故事，将惊悚、鬼怪和爱情元素融为一体。男孩杰米·马克斯只有在死后才获得人们的关注。他在学校属于孤僻而不引人注意的一类人，时常受到霸凌。杰米有个叫亚当的同学，是学校唯一待他友善的人。亚当学习勤奋，在体育上也很出色，但父母常常争吵不休，哥哥又是嗑药一族，因此与杰米同病相怜。某天亚当的母亲在吵架后气冲冲的开车出走，但不幸遭遇了车祸，只能以轮椅度日。就在同一天，杰米也遭人误杀，尸体就被抛弃在树林里面，被一个叫格蕾茜的女孩发现了。人的灵魂在死后会通过某个入口登陆彼岸，但时常有迷路的鬼魂游荡人间。杰米的灵魂自然找到了亚当，人鬼从最初的误解到暧昧投缘。亚当与杰米还有格蕾茜发展出一段奇特的人鬼三角恋。然而鬼终是鬼，终须去往自己该去的地方，杰米知道自己必须与亚当告别，否则亚当性命堪忧。。廉政公署揭破有史以来最巨规模之黑金选举行贿贪污丑行案件，轰动整个东南亚，廉署再捷一功，新界某乡事执委员会主席何权，获悉特区政府准建设西铁发展计划事宜，确定沿线发展区域一带，大量拨地兴建丁屋，串谋某干乡事执委周甘铨、罗伟雄、梁召权、赵振明等人，进行非法行贿认定原居民，以厚利报酬而换取支持投票当选为主席，以便日后进身立法机关执法，好待以主席身份代表乡民向特区政府商议土地收购索偿。廉署高层干部接获此案，据案情涉及西铁发展计划，牵涉人仕甚广，随即成立项目小组调查此案，并设立代号为“西域黑金”行动。。In this bitingly satirical film Peter Slovan, a continuous source of trouble for the film functionaries of the socialist Slovakia, tackles an evergreen topic – the corruptive effects of power. Barnabáš Kos, a triangle player at a symphonic orchestra, is suddenly promoted to serve as the head of the said institution, even though both he and his superiors deem him completely unfit for the task. Encouraged in equal parts by this unexpected recognition and the servile praise of his colleagues, Kos’s modesty starts to gradually vanish. The erstwhile bashful and aloof percussionist quickly becomes aware of the advantages of his new office, and begins to realise his increasingly ludicrous artistic ambitions. Ultimately, the submissive marionette turns into a source of public humiliation, and his astonishing career finds an abrupt end. Orchestra serves here as a microcosm that grotesquely reflects the absurd and tragicomic mechanisms of the paranoid apparatus of power.
