1996年3、4月间，白宝山连续在北京犯下重案，事情惊动了党中央，公安部责成北京市公安局限期破案。白宝山原本有一个幸福家庭，因一念之差走向歧路，83年“严打”期间被判刑劳改。十余年的牢狱生活非但没让他改邪归正，反而使他性情更加走向极端。出狱后，他密谋实施了袭击军警、抢夺枪支等犯罪行为。手中有枪的白宝山变得异常凶残，他的两个患难狱友就因和他发生几句口角，即被他送上了黄泉路，连同案犯吴子明也被他残忍杀死。之后，迫于警方压力，他逃往西北地区，一连杀死了7名无辜群众，正义的天网拉开了......。Restoration carried out by the National Museum of Singapore and the World Cinema Foundation.
