对1964年样板戏（芭蕾舞剧）的记录，本身也是改编自谢晋1961年的同名电影。。A woman gets an opportunity to save the life of a 12-year old boy who witnessed a death during a thunderstorm which happened 25 years ago, by getting connected through the television set during a similar storm in the present。幼年遭遇家变的李扶鸢十三年后重回华菖县为冤死的兄长复仇，期间结识外表纨绔无用的知县陆岩崇。随着陆岩崇的真实身份与目的渐渐浮出水面，两人从相互猜忌到携手合作解决重重疑案，让十三年前的画眉疑案真相大白！。
